THINGS TO KNOW

It’s important for your long-term breast health to start being screened at the age of 40. If there is a family history of breast cancer begin screening at age 35. A clean bill of health will give you peace of mind. If the radiologist requests that you return for a follow-up, it’s extremely important to return so that you can receive the prompt care you need from our highly trained and compassionate providers. Advanced 3D mammography can reduce the need for callback imaging up to 40% compared to 2D alone.

Having the right screening tools is half the battle when it comes to diagnosing a health problem. We use digital 2D and 3D mammography at our facility because of its proven ability to deliver a faster and more accurate diagnosis. AnMed Health was the first in the upstate to provide all-digital mammography and has made it a priority to stay at the forefront of breast cancer screenings. At AnMed Health Women's Diagnostics, our providers use the latest technology to help pinpoint problems as quickly as possible.

Waiting for a diagnosis or test results can be stressful, so we make every effort to provide same-day results when you have a diagnostic mammogram or breast ultrasound.

The AnMed Health Cancer Center has been recognized as an accredited facility by the Commission on Cancer (CoC). The CoC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research, education, and the monitoring of comprehensive quality care.
The Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) certification gives the assurance that AnMed Health Mammography provides high-quality mammography for early breast cancer detection and a range of treatment options that can lead to an increased chance of survival.
